My Cub Scout den was recently treated to a tour of a fire station. The boys got to spray the fire hose, climb into the trucks, try on the gear, and were even given milk and cookies, served personally by the firefighters. I left with a sincere appreciation of the generous spirit of these men and women, who make a living, and risk their lives, serving others.
