Saw God in the Bad Moments

Lately my parents have been fighting and arguing a lot, mostly about stupid things. Most of which somehow gets blamed on my brother or me. Being a teenager living in the same house as them—it’s a little hard to just “let it pass by” especially when you’re the one getting caught in the crossfire. Almost every time I hear an argument arise my heart drops and my chest tightens up. I feel like I want to just start crying because all I want is for it to end. However, every time I get in this situation I feel something stronger within me that says ‘You’re not alone.’

When I hear these things within myself I know it’s God. So today I saw God in my heart showing me I can be strong when I am presented with these unwelcoming situations. I realized that God is making me stronger by presenting me with opportunities to be strong. God is not leaving you alone to battle on your own. Instead He’s the one leading the way and the one backing me up.

Great insight for a teenager (or anyone). Sounds like you have found the source of all strength…and peace. May God continue to fill you with strength and peace.
