I was at church and missing my youngest grandchildren who lived in another town. A cute little girl and boy came with their parents to church and sat in the pew behind me. The grandparents were in the pew behind me also. Both asked to sit next to their grandma. That brought to mind many memories. After the service was over the priest said “Happy Mother’s Day” to all the mothers present. As we were leaving the little girl said “Happy Mother’s Day Grandma”. When she looked at me I said “I am a grandma also” Her beautiful eyes lit up and she gave me the most beautiful smile and said “Happy Mother’s Day” to you also. She brought sunshine into my heart that morning. I saw God that day in this little girl’s smile and greeting.
