Saw God in Two Guardian Angels

Saturday night my husband, 86 year old Mother, and brother attended a wedding for the child of family friends we have known for 50 years. The wedding was a beautiful ceremony and then we were on our way to the festive reception. During dinner - my Mom choked and was not able to breathe. I tried the heimlich maneuver on her with no success. She still was not breathing and became unresponsive - falling to the floor.  We called 911. I can not describe the fear and inadequacy of not being able to help her.

The next thing we knew -one of the wedding guests - a fireman, by the name of Shaum, came to our rescue. He successfully performed the heimlich maneuver, however, my Mom was still unresponsive and not breathing. By this time, another wedding guest, Mary, who happened to be a nurse- came to help.  They took turns performing CPR on my Mom until the paramedics arrived.  She was now breathing and becoming responsive.  This man and woman saved my Mom’s life. Even the doctors and paramedics confirmed this and praised both of them.  How do you adequately thank someone for something so magnificent?

By the grace of God and these two incredible people - we were able to take my Mom home from the hospital that night and she is recovering well. We will never forget  Shaum or Mary.  They both are our guardian angels and heroes.
