Saw God in a Football Game

This year we decided to start a tradition of playing a family football game on Thanksgiving morning.  We invited all available adults and children on my side of the family as well as my husband’s side to participate.  Due to conflicting schedules and questionable weather we were not sure how many people would show up.  The rain stopped and the weather improved as game time approached.  Thermoses of coffee and hot chocolate were passed to ward off the cold.  At kick off we had 23 players, male and female, ranging in age from 4 years old to 45 years old.  My nephew was taking team photos and video of the game.  The game had it all–interceptions, blocked and dropped passes, amazing runs and a lot of not so amazing runs.  (Bill B. and Bill E. were the MVPs of the game) In the end a good time was had by all.  It was a great opportunity for two generations and two families to come together.  What a blessing for us  to be a part of such a great family!  See you all on the football field again next year!
