I started a new job 15 years ago and saw something in one of my new co-workers, Jim. I wasn’t sure what is was but thought that he was a “nice man”. He asked if I would like to attend a Promise Keepers meeting, I was the typical Catholic that attended church periodically and had no background in the Bible. We attended that Promise Keepers meeting and several others after that. We also started meeting once a week for breakfast and Bible study. Through the years we have been joined by from one to three other men for these Bible breakfasts. I’m sure the attendance would grow if we met a different time, in that we meet at 5:30 AM on Thursdays. The men that have joined us over the years have been of many different denominations. Jim and I will meet again this Thursday, well over our 600th meeting, to study the Bible and be accountable as fathers, husbands and Christian men. God is with us every week as we study his word and lift up our thanks and prayers. I saw God in Jim over 15 years ago and at that time I didn’t understand what I was seeing, but I now know that God is in all of us if we only open our hearts.
