I am a pastor of two rural Northern New York churches. We have just completed a week of Vacation Bible School. My two and a half year old granddaughter was visiting that week and so she attended VBS. Each night before our snack was served, we would ask for a child to lead us in grace. On Thursday evening I asked, “Who will say grace for us tonight?” Then in the loudest voice she could command, this tiny gift from God yelled “Grace!” After that I told her to say “Amen!” This definitely was a grace filled moment and grace was said and received for the bounty God gives us in everything we have — especially children.
